Three Free TV premieres tonight

A book club is discussing “Fifty Shades of Gray” in the ARD summer cinema, while other channels, including Al Pacino, are a bit more brutal.

Three films are celebrating Free TV premiere in Germany this evening: “Book Club – The Best is Still Coming” on ARD, “Hangman – Play with Death” on ZDF and “Eyewitness” on Tele 5. During the summer cinema film in First of all, the heart appeals, the thrillers on the other channels are not for the faint of heart. Fittingly, the film on ZDF also belongs to the film series “Montagskino Adrenalin”. Trailer here.

“Book Club – The best is yet to come” (8:15 p.m., ARD)

Four female Hollywood legends show in the romantic Best Ager comedy that there is a lot to experience beyond the 60s: Jane Fonda finally finds love for her life as an independent power woman, Diane Keaton begins a passionate romance, Candice Bergen plunges into an erotic one Adventure and Mary Steenburgen believes in a second spring in their married life. The award-winning actresses are in top form with wit, humor and self-irony. The male roles are also top-class with Don Johnson and Andy Garcia.

“Eyewitness” (10:05 pm, Tele 5)

A sporty rafting tour in the seclusion of the wilderness, just for two on the river: Mother Sharon and daughter Cassie have planned this weekend adventure. But then the two women meet three prisoners who have escaped from prison. An adventure trip turns into a journey into human abysses.

“Hangman – Playing with Death” (10.15 p.m., ZDF)

The retired police officer Ray Archer (Al Pacino) wants to bring down a serial killer with his ex-colleague Will Ruiney (Karl Urban). To do this, they have to get involved in a macabre game. The murderer leaves individual letters at the crime scenes as clues, just like in the game Galgenmann. For the police officers, a merciless race against time begins, in which they are increasingly targeted by the killer. Trailer here.
