With three new channels from the Nickelodeon cosmos, the Pluto TV streaming service brings back the squeaky, shrill cartoon television of the nineties, the teen sitcoms of yesteryear and more content for children and the young at heart.

Characters with the most absurd head shapes (“football skull”) and domesticity (“Who lives in a pineapple, deep in the sea?”) Populated the postmodern derailed picture worlds of cartoons in the nineties. The decade after the Cold War was bright and crazy – and the world was suddenly a playground for absurd reverie. Many long-grown children of the corresponding era continue to indulge in the hopeful and naive carelessness of these colorful mind games and continue to worship, iconize and recite the television program of these days long past.

At Pluto TV, the style blooms of this strange era of tele-pop culture are floating from today August 3rd again, because with various parts of the 90s cult station Nickelodeon’s “Spongebob”, the “Hero Turtles”, “Hey Arnold!” and “Rocko’s Modern Life” can review again – and this on three channels.
