Some time ago we introduced the Yohann for the Mac Book pro. Now we show you the Yohann W1. A wooden holder for iPhone and Apple Watch.
The concept of the Yohann holder for iPad, MacBook and iPhone follows a sustainable approach. It is made of fine woods and (with a few exceptions) the use of plastics is largely avoided.
The Yohann comes without a cable or Apple Watch charging puck. As a user, you must already have this, but this should generally be the case.
The cable feed for the charging puck as well as for the iPhone takes place on the underside of the Yohann. There, the cables are laid in curved recesses and thus hold securely. An enclosed plastic piece, which is inserted into the upper hole, ensures that the Lightning connector is held correctly.
The iPhone is then plugged into the outstanding Lightning connector for charging and then stops in the middle of the Yohann. The Apple Watch is placed around the middle base and then lies like on a plate. Comparable perhaps to the magnetic charging dock from Apple.
Instead of the iPhone, you can also charge the AirPods or AirPods pro above. The mechanical stability of the holder is not enough for an iPad. But there are also other solutions from the manufacturer.
If you have furniture in oak or walnut look, you can now use the Yohann to find the right charging solution for Apple Watch, iPhone and AirPods.
The Yohann W1 is available in two versions. In walnut and oak. We had the oak version to try out.
At first, the holder looks a bit unusual because the iPhone “hovers” on the plug of the Lightning cable. But it holds reliably. The Apple Watch fits the middle bar. There is even space on the “plate” to store smaller things. The cables go to the back and thus a “cable chaos” can be avoided.
The Yohann is a high quality and sustainably manufactured product, the design of which comes from Germany. He has his price for it, which at 149 euros cannot be described as cheap. However, this is also not a mass article.
We have received the Yohann W1 for this contribution from the manufacturer.
Thanks to sillber AG for making the Yohann W1 available.
