TikTok, one of the most popular social networks in the world does not like it in the United States, and it is that the Donald Trump government wants to ban the popular application.
If there is a social network that has achieved incredible popularity in a very short time, that’s without a doubt TikTok. The short video social network is a spectacular space to unleash all our imagination and if we search well, we can find “TikTokers” with sublime quality.
However, this social network is not having the same reception in all the countries of the world. As you may well remember in India, it was banned for a time -to reappear-, although the social network of Chinese origin could go to the list of prohibited apps in one of the countries with the largest number of citizens in the world.
United States against TikTok
We all know the war between the United States and Donald Trump against everything Chinese. If the most famous case was the veto that the American country applied to the well-known technology brand Huawei, now the next victim could be TikTok as reported by Fox News.
Mike Pompeo is the Secretary of State in the United States and consider TikTok a dangerous app, obviously for being Chinese. With the excuse of dangers against national security, the US government would put vetoes, limitations and even prohibitions on the use of certain apps of Chinese origin, among which, of course, this social network is found.
“We are very concerned and taking this issue very seriously. We are considering the application of vetoes and prohibitions of Chinese applications that are social networks “ – Pompeo said.
Mike also recommended not to download any kind of Chinese application, unless users want all their data and private information to get into the hands of the Chinese Communist Party. Something that is no longer new and is that even the FBI recommended at the time not to download applications of Russian origin such as the well-known FaceApp.
On the other hand, TikTok has not remained silent and has come to his defense. They acknowledge that they do not share any data with the Chinese authorities. What’s more, they state that the social network has an American CEO, with hundreds of employees in the United States. Their only priority is to offer a secure user experience as they have shared with CNBC.
