After being one of the first devices to receive the beta, the Xiaomi Mi 9T is taking longer than expected to receive MIUI 12 globally and stable. Despite that, the company has already published that the update has been released, but users are not yet receiving it. Only those who had the opportunity to test it through the My Pilot program for this model can enjoy it.
This is not a problem with the upgrade beyond the small delays that have occurred on all units. However the Xiaomi Mi 9 that began to receive MIUI 12 shortly before it has been deployed to a good number of units, which creates more confusion for users and causes us to start asking if it is a mistake in our mobile.
Users order MIUI 12 for the Xiaomi Mi 9T
As we have seen on other occasions, the Xiaomi community forum has become the center of complaints and demands from users, asking several times about the update of the Xiaomi Mi 9T. Some comments that come from Europe in countries like Poland or Portugal, in addition to Bangladesh, India or Singapore among others. This shows us a large number of units that are being affected for the delay of MIUI 12.
The company itself has responded calmly and patiently to users, stating that it will be in the next few days when it will begin to arrive. It has been 15 days since for example the global version arrived in Europe and for now both the Xiaomi Mi 9T and the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro they still suffer delays. The festering of the update is done through the OTA, with a large number of units to reach and that is why it is delayed so long.
Is there a way to update the Xiaomi Mi 9T before?
Taking into account that the OTA has already been launched and that it will be a matter of days before it begins to arrive, this time we really do not think it is worth complicating manually installing the ROM. The best we can do is ask Xiaomi to send us the update first, a simple process that we can do from Settings> About phone> System update.
Within this section we will have to repeatedly touch on the MIUI 11 version until a message appears indicating that the advanced options are activated. Then we touch in the upper right corner to access the settings and so we can activate the button to receive the updates before MIUI 12 on the Xiaomi Mi 9T. Among the changes that we are eager to see we can mention the renewed shortcut system or the new adjustments, in addition to, of course, the renewal of its functions.
