After several weeks of rumors suggesting his arrival, Xiaomi has finally announced its first high-end television. It is called the Mi TV Master, and it is the first model in the Mi TV series to have an OLED screen, 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

These features lead to the new Xiaomi television to rival some of the most expensive models on the market. However, Xiaomi does it again, achieving keep a tight price in its new flagship in the smart TV segment.

Although the new television shares some features with the 55-inch Mi TV 4S that we were able to analyze at the time – especially regarding design – the reality is that we are dealing with a higher-end television, which plans to compete with some of the latest models from firms like Samsung or LG.

The My TV Master comes with a big 65 inch screen and 4K resolution –3840 × 2160 pixels–, capable of reaching 1,000 nits maximum brightness and a contrast level of 1000000: 1. In addition, it has support for the 10-bit DCI-P3 color spectrum and is capable of reproducing over 1 billion colors. Of course, HDR content support is not lacking either.

One of its most important characteristics resides in the Update frequency, which for the first time on a company television amounts to 120 Hz. Also, it has a response time of 1 millisecond.

The TV is built in aluminum and it has an ultra-slim body whose weight reaches 36.7 kilos – based. In addition, it has a glass base which can be removed to hang the device on the wall through a VESA mount. Under his screen, we find aRGB LED light.

It features a quad-core Cortex A73 processor supported by the Mali-G52 MC1 GPU, backed by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. All this gives life to MIUI 12 for TV, a software developed by Xiaomi loaded with tools and functions that allow you to use some of the company’s most popular services. For example, it will be possible control the devices connected to our connected home through the TV thanks to the Mi Home app.

Its interior also houses a neural processing unit that is responsible for giving life to AI functions and machine learning. These functions are mainly intended to optimize image quality depending on the content displayed on the screen. According to Xiaomi, more than 20 algorithms are in charge of automatically improving the experience by modifying the color, clarity or contrast.

The television’s audio system consists of a total of nine speakers capable of generating a power of 65W that promise a surround sound “3D”. These, in addition, are tuned by the Dolby Atmos system in its version 2.1.2. As a novelty in this regard, Xiaomi gives the Mi TV Master a audio reflection system which bounces sound off the ceiling to accentuate the immersive experience.

The price of the television is 12,999 yuan, about 1,630 euros to change. Obviously, it is the most expensive TV of all those that make up the Xiaomi catalog, but still we speak of a significantly lower price than models of other brands with similar parameters.
