You can now test Android 11 with Oxygen OS 11 on the OnePlus 8

OnePlus is one of the Android manufacturers when it comes to software updates. Each year, its flagship mobile is usually among the first to receive the latest version of Android, and this requires that its update process with development versions begin as soon as possible, long before there is a final version of Android 11.

The company has published in recent days its third Developer Preview, a version that includes the latest Android 11 improvements, as well as the first cosmetic changes to its Oxygen OS 11 customization layer.

OnePlus continues to work on its versions of Android 11, which they have called Developer Preview, some versions that are still far from the final official version but that little by little are taking shape.

The OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro can now enjoy the third Developer Preview, a version that stands out for introducing the first aesthetic changes to Oxygen OS 11, the latest version of its customization layer. This release includes the following key enhancements explained by OnePlus.

  • New visual design, including the launcher, weather application, gallery or notes.
  • New application structure focused on easier one-hand use.
  • screen Always on, with 11 new watch designs.
  • Wallpaper that changes according to the time of day.
  • New OnePlus Sans font that makes reading easier.
  • Automatic dark mode and access to quick settings.
  • 3 new modes in Zen.
  • New gallery feature that creates a weekly story based on your photos and videos.

This version is still far from being a valid version for day to day, so it is not recommended that you install it only if you can agree to use a mobile phone with a system that is inconsistent on a daily basis.
