ZDFsport shows "Olympic moments" from today

As you know, the Olympic Games in Tokyo cannot take place this year. But from today ZDFsport shows an extensive alternative program for all fans.

The games were supposed to take place from July 24th to August 9th, but Corona made a spanner in the works. At zdfsport.de there will be big “Olympic moments” to be seen again during this period. Fans should be able to revive pictures and emotions of past summer games, as the ZDF announced.

At the start, the series shows a best of the opening celebrations. The subsequent journey through time through Olympic history is said to extend from the 1920 games in Antwerp to Tokyo in 1964 to the summer games in Rio 2016. Back in Rio, Fabian Hambüchen won gold on the horizontal bar in his last Olympic attempt. There will also be time for strange things. For example, medals in the disciplines of painting and literature were awarded at the games in Antwerp in 1920. In addition to the sporting highlights, the review should also focus on global politics and the Munich bombing in 1972.

The “Olmpische Momente” will be available from July 24th at zdfsport.de and in the ZDF app.
